I just back them up to my QNAP NAS and they are playable immediately afterwards. It’s a good thing I use the Infuse app on my AppleTV and iOS devices to playback these same Blu-ray’s without conversion. I add several Blu-ray titles each week which need to be converted (hours) in order for Plex to play them. I’m sure my fellow Home Theater movie enthusiasts understand how losing total access is NOT acceptable as we build and manage our media on a routine basis.

Plex does not seem to offer any official support for paid customers, even those of us who bought the Lifetime Plex Pass.Īfter a few years of using Plex, I can’t say I’ve ever experienced a total disruption in service to where I wasn’t able to resolve it on my own which is why I’ve only recently subscribed to the Plex Forums.įor this issue now, I’ve used the Plex FAQs and this forum for a possible resolution which consists of me “ no longer having access to or being able to manage my media”.

This appears to be an issue between Windows 10 and Plex at this time and my desktop is clean I only use it to backup my Blu-rays and then Robocopy them to my QNAP so I can play them with Infuse on my Apple TV, however I convert most of them and add them to my Plex library as well so my kids can download them when we travel. I can only access that free plex media from online only, not from my Plex Server unless I switch to a Managed User.

It too is a Windows 10 system - fully updated as of today. In fact, I just tried it from one of my desktops and I’m seeing the same issue. I can access my Media (Plex Server) using my iPhone(s) and iPad(s), just not from my laptop. I’m only having this issue on my laptop which is where I like to “manage” my Plex Server which is hosted on my QNAP on my local home network and every device I use to access it is on the same home network. When switching to any of my Managed Users, everything works just fine. I installed the Plex for Windows app from here: and I’m still having the same issue. Day 2 and I’m still unable to access my Plex Server using my (PAID) account after logging in.
